Hergen Wöbken is managing director of the Institute for Strategy Development (IFSE), which he founded in 2003. Since then, he has been in charge of numerous studies and consulting projects. A trained banker, he studied economics and management, philosophy and cultural reflection at the Witten/Herdecke University.

After his training as a banker, Hergen Wöbken accumulated practical experience at an investment fund in New York, later he gained more experience working with Scholz & Friends in Berlin, Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong, the European Parliament in Brussels and the pharmaceutical enterprise Merck KGaA in Darmstadt and Bangkok. While at university, Hergen Wöbken founded, together with fellow students, oeconomenta, which focuses on interrelations between business and the arts, and co-organized the fourth congress for family enterprises.

In addition to his duties as executive, Hergen Wöbken is a contributor at scientific conferences and as lecturer in Leadership, Communication and Conflict Management.
