In some organizations routines and path dependencies develop over time, preventing innovation. Others lack the mechanisms to introduce existing ideas to the market successfully. Organizational requirements are crucial in either case. New ideas are no pennies from heaven, but are arrived at through recombination and recontextualization of old and known ones. IFSE’s school of innovation facilitates innovation on an individual level.

If required, different personalities will be brought together to this end. Managers might sit down with thought leaders, students or artists. Thus for example contemporary art might become the terrain where new and astounding thoughts are pioneered. Very productive departments may require a quiet atmosphere for a change. There is no recipe – the goal is to make opposites fertile, to enhance our clients’ ability to innovate.
