Changes in the environment can lead to massive opportunities and risks for a company. Thus changes in the public’s health and nourishment awareness has palpable consequences for the business opportunities of the food industry. A strategic examination of the environment is more than just a conversation with the stakeholders. It anticipates relevant subjects, so-called issues, and analyses all possible implications with the risks and opportunities attached to them. In order to preserve the strategic room to maneuver, everyone working at this intersection between company and environment must contribute.

Thus issue management is established as a mentality within the company. IFSE supports clients in their analysis and evaluation of changes in the environment via studies, consulting projects and strategy workshops. A widely ramified network of experts and opinion leaders from the sciences, economics, media and politics is called upon by IFSE in order to compile environmental analyses.
